Is the Loch Ness Monster real?

Hey guys! We're back!

But before we could start off with our blog post, we would like to make an announcement. From now onwards, we will be updating individually every Sunday. The three of us will take turns to update on each Sunday. But don't worry, we'll still have blog posts like these with all three of us together.

Now that, that's over...

This blog post is going to be about the 'mythical' Loch Ness Monster! Or as many people would call the mysterious unknown creature, 'Nessie'.

"Nessie" Taken in 1933

Each of us went around asking someone we know and these were the answers the three of us received:

Do You Believe that The "Loch Ness Monster" exists?

Ashley Mia of 8 Lambda from Sri KL

If I'm not mistaken, it was classified as a mythical creature. The creature is said to be pretty big. Therefore, if it is was to be real, somebody would have found it already. With our technology now, it wouldn't be hard to find a huge creature. However, it hasn't been found and this is probably because it isn't real.

Chua Wan Rong of 8 Sigma from Sri KL

In my opinion, I actually do believe in this mystical creature. Many may say it's some fake rumor or it's just a myth. But I think with the amount of pictures and videos from scientists all around the world, it can be trusted, alongside with all the eye-witnesses. Other than that, I also think that some myths are true like the myths on how spirits exist, the same goes to this creature. Many people may not be convinced but I believe that it's mostly because of the lack of evidence and the strangeness as many never heard of such before. To be fair, everyone has their own opinions and this is just my point of view! :)

I believe that the "Loch Ness Monster" is a hoax. I've heard numerous stories and reports about Nessie but I believe it's just a mythical creature that was mind boggling to many people. This creature was made up by someone who seeks attention and also for publicity. It made headlights, catching everyone's attention and focus to this strange, never before seen monster. Nessie attracted a great number of tourists who were anxious and curious about this mythical monster. Although the papers provided pictures and sightings of it, it may not be true. It could just be a scam as no one knows what it looked like. After about 80 years, I'm puzzled to why no one has yet to catch this creature. It's massive! How is it still in the sea without anyone catching a glimpse of it? That's right, it's obviously fictional. The "Loch Ness Monster'" is a non-existent, imaginary and made-up creature. Others would have a different point of view and would disagree with me but this is what I believe.

Well that's our blog post for now! We'll see you next Sunday with Sheryl a.k.a Pecan being the first out of three of us to post.

Later alligator! :)

Music Video Review

Ever got a song stuck in your head?

Of course you have. We're all human after all.

The song that has been stuck in our heads lately is 'Flashlight' by Jessie J. Everyone is basically annoyed by us as we kept singing and humming the tune of the song over and over again in school.

Here's the music video of the song that is from the movie sequel, Pitch Perfect 2.

Alongside with the lyrics:

When tomorrow comes
I'll be on my own
Feeling frightened of
The things that I don't know
When tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes

And though the road is long
I look up to the sky
And in the dark I found,
I lost hope that I won't fly
And I sing along, I sing along
And I sing along

I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes
Can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight

I see the shadows long beneath the mountain top
I'm not afraid when the rain won't stop
'Cause you light the way
You light the way, you light the way

I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
Light light you're my flashlight
Light light light light light, oh
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
You're my flash, oh

I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
(You're my flashlight)
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight
'Cause you're my flashlight
You're my flashlight

You're my flashlight
Light light
You're my flashlight
Light light ye-yeah

You're my flashlight

These are our opinions on it:

Marble:
"I'm stuck in the darkness but you're my flashlight." This is one of my favorite lines from one of the best songs this century - Flashlight by Jessie J. This song is also the official soundtrack for the movie "Pitch Perfect 2"! It was indeed a great movie.

In my point of view, this song is a very powerful song. It describes about the Barden Bellas, who's a group of 8 young ladies matching pitch to sing, and their strong bond between one another.Their friendship was unbreakable, no matter what obstacles they face. Other than that, the video also has small snippets of Jessie J dancing around Barden University which is the university the Barden Bellas are from. She didn't take the central attention but the small parts of the movie did.

I also find this song really inspiring as it shows that nobody who we get into a fight with, there's always a way to fix it. As in the music video, the story behind it which is about a guy who got in a fight with his girlfriend and fixed their relationship when Jessie J gave him advice to apologized to her. It fit the lyrics of the song as they realized that they are meant for each other. It was truly an amazing story for the song.

I really like the song, the music video and even the movie! I would recommend all you Wanderlustful Dreamers to watch it, eventually the song will be stuck in your head too! So yeah.. GO WATCH IT! I'm ending this by saying that this song was one of the highlights of my life and will be remembered. i would give it 11/10.

That's all for now! Thank you for reading this.
Bye, Best Friends! :)

Pecan:
Based on my personal opinion, this song is like a breath of fresh air to me. In this day and age, many songs are all about inappropriate matters and topics. An infamous example would be the song, 'Anaconda'.

The song, 'Flashlight' portrays about friendship, teamwork and bonds between the people you love and care about the most in your life. In the first and second verse, it tells us that no one should be left alone, standing on it's two feet with nobody there to help along them through the journey. It's natural of us, humans to feel scared and nervous of the unknown. We would lose hope and doubt our skills without someone there to support us along the way.
The chorus tells us that someone plays an important role in our life, guiding us through the 'dark' and helping us when we stumble and fall. They make it easier for us as they are our flashlight to help survive the night. I think the song fits perfectly with the movie, 'Pitch Perfect 2' as it's all about teamwork and friendships.

The music video partly shows a couple who breaks up in the beginning but they started to realise how they can't be seperated  as they need each other as their flashlights. Also, Jessie J did a really good job in not taking away our attention from the lyrics by just dancing around and not doing anything absurd. It captures our attention to the lyrics and it's meaning by also showing snippets from the movie of how they bonded and needed one another.

The song and music video is just absolutely amazing. It's definitely a hit song on the radios. It is also something different from all the other songs that aren't friendly to children. Thank you for reading my opinion ;) I'm ending it by saying that I love your sunglasses Jessie J.

Peace out ya'll. Pecan needs her sleep.

Fudge:
Hey guys! It’s Fudge here. Okay from the title of this blogpost, you would already know what we’re going to talk about. The three of us here, just couldn’t get the song ‘Flashlight’ out of our heads. It’s just so catchy and it’s also from one of our favourite movies too. Let’s get to it shall we?

I think this song is amazing in general. It has a catchy tune, a great meaning behind it, an simple yet great music video, a great singer to sing it - basically the whole package. The singer is singing about how whenever she’s frightened, in doubt or sad, she remembers that she doesn’t need to feel those emotions because she has someone there to catch her when she falls. It’s a simple song with a deep meaning behind it. Everyone could relate to helping a friend in need or being helped by a friend.

The song describes how one could easily get lost in the darkness full of fear and doubt but they would have a friend there to be their flashlight and help them lead the way through the darkness. The music video is great too because the singer doesn’t take too much attention away from the song itself which is good as music videos these days don’t even relate to the song and takes all the attention away from the song.

The cut-out scenes from the movie ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ also mashes well with the song as the scenes are when the characters are bonding together and helping each other out. It also captures the moment of true friendship - when a friend would do just about anything to cheer you up and to make sure you’re okay. I would give it a good 10/10.

This song as been judged by Fudge.

Peace.
